Coaching Career:

Lariel is starting her coaching career with Bishop O'Dowd in 2019 alongside Coach Malik, Coach Shannon, and Coach Matt. Lariel is a former Dragon who played on the girls' basketball team at O'Dowd from 2007 - 2011 under Coach Malik. She then went on to play collegiate Women's Basketball at Portland State University from 2011 - 2015. Lariel made her way back to the Bay Area in 2015 where she graduated with her Masters in Sports Management from USF, then returned to O'Dowd as an Assistant Coach.

Why O'Dowd?

I enjoy coaching the girls' basketball team at O'Dowd because we have a culture that fosters and strives for excellence at the highest level for all of our young women - academically, athletically, and personally. I take pride in being a coach for this program because of the growth, maturity, and confidence that these young women gain while playing in our program. My goal as a coach is that every young woman that leaves our program has a sense of pride and gratitude in leaving their own legacy with the Bishop O'Dowd Girls' Basketball program.
